I tried different ammo grains and noticed anything under 124 gr increase the misfire and double feed. My CCP tends to pull my shots to the lower left center target; I believe this to be due to a sluggish trigger. The original sight for the CCP is crappy and I can not locate any aftermarket sights that would fit the CCP. Just recently the CCP had a recall for safe concerns; gun discharging even when safety is on. The CCP is not worth the expense! Do your homework prior to making your purchase on a CCP.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31185777.post-10848489884128820982016-03-06T17:08:45.837-06:002016-03-06T17:08:45.837-06:00After loosing the little tool somewhere in my shop...After loosing the little tool somewhere in my shop, and the second and third cleaning Learned finally, some of us never get the message, to follow instructions...This piece is reliable, very much so, but it must be cleaned every time you use it..I blow the piston housing out with compressed air, making sure the little gas jet hole is clean, and the piston must be clean...It shoots well, very accurate for me, and feals nice...in the hand...I like it...Shoots everything well.Mark Bergnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31185777.post-90432593838696116452016-02-28T05:34:36.476-06:002016-02-28T05:34:36.476-06:00I carried a P38 for years, back when there were on...I carried a P38 for years, back when there were only a couple of pistols available, and the other one, the Luger was not reliable....
This CCP has been a nightmare, horribly unreliable, starts throwing the shells in your hair and face, then jams..They should all be recalled , melted down, and WALTHER should send all owners a piece that works..It will never make it into the German Industrial Museum in Munich...eh?
Mark Bergnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31185777.post-13598157113233438722015-11-30T23:14:30.130-06:002015-11-30T23:14:30.130-06:00I found the walther ccp safety to be too far back ...I found the walther ccp safety to be too far back for me to disengage easily. I do have large hands....xx large glove size. On the walther, my thumb wanted to swipe down in front of the safety and missed it, unless I was looking at it. (In comparison, I found the ruger lc9s safety to be easy to disengage without looking at it.) I found the walther ccp to be accurate and easy to shoot...Softer shooting than the other 9mm subcompacts I tried (shield, nano, lc9s). I liked the trigger. Seemed too large to easily pocket carry, but otherwise concealable. Was a rental gun, I shot 25 rounds fmj, no malfunctions.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31185777.post-69691281022012289112015-07-04T17:38:25.079-05:002015-07-04T17:38:25.079-05:00I have put many rounds (approx 1000) through my CC...I have put many rounds (approx 1000) through my CCP and still have the gritty trigger. I have not yet taken the mechanism apart to polish any of the pieces but believe the issue to be between the cylinder and the sear. I have removed the slide and while holding the sear down cycled the trigger. There is a noticible difference.

The other thing I noticed is that my patterns are comparable to what is pictured. Low and left. I have corrected the low (it was me) but had to adjust the windage on the rear sights to fix the left. My wife and son both shot left with it so I am sure it was the gun versus the person. Adding a laser ($50) helped confirm. Just suprised I would have to make adjustments. I diagnosed the gritty is from the safety plunger riding on the bar....right side of frame. I inserted 400 grit sandpaper between bar and plunger, grit toward bar and pull trigger about 100 times. I then inserted stainless steel polishing paste between the two,and did the same. I jack even left paste there for now for break in.
Gritty gone.....15 minute fix.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
